Neoen entered the renewable energy sector in 2008. Since its creation, Neoen has developed an important portfolio of projects. Neoen’s commitments quickly took form: the first photovoltaic solar power plant was inaugurated in 2009, followed a year later by the building of its first wind farm. Its growth became global two years after its creation: Portugal, Australia, Mexico, Egypt and Salvador.
As of 2016, within only a few years, Neoen has risen to become to become the third producer of renewable energy in France. Its financial stability, its experience, and its global scope have made it one of the major players in the renewable energy industry, at the centre of the energy transition.
