Axpo, a Swiss renewable energy developer, plans to build two wind projects in Romania that will have a combined capacity of 250 MW.

The wind farms will be constructed about 100 km northeast and 200 km east of Bucharest, respectively. Local firm Aquarius Energy Developments will work closely with Axpo to develop the project.

Once operational, the project is expected to generate up to 750 GWh of energy per year. The construction phase is set to start before the end of 2023.
