European Energy secures approval for feasibility study of 72 MW Frederikshavn nearshore offshore wind project

Renewables developer European Energy A/S has secured approval from the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) for a feasibility study of up to 72 MW Frederikshavn nearshore offshore wind farm project. 

The approval from the energy regulator does not automatically mean the approval of the construction of the project. European Energy still needs to obtain the construction permit for the wind farm. 

The project will have up to five turbines that will have a capacity ranging between 21.6 MW and 72 MW. The wind turbines will be constructed about 5 km east of Frederikshavn Harbor.
