European Energy A/S, a Copenhagen-based renewables developer, has bought a 50% stake in a 160 MW offshore wind project in South Denmark from Sonderborg Forsyning, a local utility.
In 2027, the Lillebaelt Vind wind farm is expected to be operational. For this project, the two partners are currently investigating new alternatives for turbine sizes, including units with a tip height of up to 242 meters.
