Grenergy has signed a financing agreement of US$17.5 million with the Inter-American Corporation for the construction of the San Miguel Ayende solar farm in Mexico.
This new photovoltaic project will have a total installed power of 35 MW and will be located in the state of Guanajuato, the country's industrial belt and one of the areas with the best solar radiation in the American continent, as it has a resource of more than 2,300 hours of production per year.
Grenergy started its construction in the first half of this year, carrying out an intensive environmental evaluation and rescue of the protected flora of the area, as contemplated in its first sustainability report, and expects to be connected during the first quarter of 2021.
