Lightsource bp agrees PPA deal for new UK brick factory

Forterra and Lightsource bp have signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for the supply of a total of 50 GWh of electricity annually to Forterra's new GBP95 million (US$114.7 million) brick factory in the UK.

The PPA will provide Forterra with valuable price certainty and predictability at a time of surging energy costs. The company aims to reduce emissions by 32% by 2030, building upon a 22% reduction in the 2010-2019 period.

Forterra is a UK-based construction company. that manufactures pipe and precast products for facilities that build and maintain sustainable infrastructures.
