Masdar and Turkmenenergo have signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for a 100 MWac solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Turkmenistan.
Under the terms of the MOU, the two companies committed to explore public-private partnership development and investment opportunities in solar and wind generating projects.
The project is consistent with Turkmenistan's objective to modernize its energy infrastructure and lessen its reliance on hydrocarbons.
