Renewable Energy Systems (RES Group) has submitted an application for the development of the 126 MW Bloch wind project in Langholm, Dumfries, and Galloway, southern Scotland, the UK.
Following technical and environmental assessments and public consultations in June and October, the number of turbines has been reduced from 22 to 21, and the tip height of 11 turbines has been lowered to limit visibility. Previously, the project was known as Solwaybank Extension.
The developer has also collaborated with locals to identify the wind farm's potential community benefits.
