Statkraft has entered into a solar photovoltaic power purchase agreement (PPA) with Schaeffler for the energy needs of around 11% of the annual power demand of its plants.
The energy that will be supplied will correspond to the yearly demand of Schaeffler's headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Franconia, Germany. The company is thus taking a further step to make its production completely climate-neutral by 2030.
The 10-year PPA will start in 2023.
