TransAlta Renewables Inc has completed the construction and started the operation of the Big Level wind farm and the Antrim wind projects in Pennsylvania.
The 90 MW Big Level wind park has entered into operation on December 19, 2019, and has a 15-years power purchase agreement with the Microsoft Corporation.
The 29 MW Antrim wind facility in New Hampshire is operational since December 24, 2019, and has a 20-year PPA deal with the Partners Healthcare and New Hampshire Electric Co-op.
TransAlta has an economic interest in these two U.S. wind farms and will be the operator of both wind farms. In conjunction with reaching commercial operation, approximately US$126 million of tax equity proceeds were raised to partially fund the projects.
