Voltalia has announced a co-development collaboration for a renewable energy cluster in Uzbekistan consisting of 400 to 500 MW of solar, wind, and battery storage capacity.
Approximately 200 MW of solar, 200 MW of wind, and 60 MW/240 MWh of battery storage will comprise the proposed capacity. The cluster will generate more than one TWh annually, satisfying the electricity demands of more than 800,000 residents and preventing the annual emission of at least 500,000 tons of CO2.
Voltalia and the Uzbek Ministry of Energy will jointly select the location. Commissioning of the projects is slated to begin in 2026.
