Statkraft España, a unit of Statkraft, is planning to invest up to EUR90 million (US$89.87 million) to build two wind projects with a combined capacity of 86 MW in Basque Country, Spain.

The two projects are the 52.8 MW Itsaraz and the 33 MW Piaspe wind farms that will be constructed on the border between Álava, Bizkaia, and Gipuzkoa. The projects are slated to be operational by 2027.

Statkraft will sign power purchase agreements (PPAs) in the future with Basque industrial companies to supply them with clean renewable energy.
