Iberdrola has completed the construction of the 13.5 MW Conde solar photovoltaic facility located in the municipality of Palmela, in the district of Setúbal, Portugal.
The solar farm will consist of up to 25,000 bifacial solar modules that are expected to generate enough energy for the consumption of about 5,000 homes.
The project is part of the public auction awarded to Iberdrola in 2019 by the Portuguese Ministry of the Environment and Energy Transition. Once operational, the plant is expected to offset up to 6,000 tonnes of carbon emissions per year.
