Iberdrola SA plans to invest around EUR17 billion (US$17.1 billion) in renewables between 2023 and 2025 in order to reach a total installed capacity of approximately 52 GW of clean energy by the end of the planning period. Nearly half of the budget will be allocated to offshore wind energy.
In its most recent strategy update, Iberdrola will invest EUR75 billion (US$75 billion) in renewable energy, networks, and retail operations between 2020 and 2025. Since then, around EUR30 billion (US$30 billion) has been invested, and a further EUR65-75 billion investment is expected from 2026 to 2030.
Iberdrola will invest EUR27 billion (USD27 billion) in the grid networks of the UK, Brazil, Spain, and the US.
