RWE is a German electric utilities company based in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The company currently has (in 2016) a power generation capacity of over 40,000 Megawatt and a workforce of around 14,000 people at 79 locations. In Germany alone, its power plants currently provide one third of supply. The portfolio is based on offshore and onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, batteries, biomass and gas. RWE Supply & Trading provides tailored energy solutions for large customers.
